MatchCast — League Terms
Entry fees
Your entry fee is held in the league prize pool. MatchCast retains a 15% platform fee from all entry fees collected. The remaining 85% of entry fees collected forms the prize pool, after applicable payment processing fees. Actual prize pool amounts are displayed in the app and reflect the net amount available for distribution.
Payouts
For staged leagues, the prize pool is distributed in four instalments: • Group Stage (ends ~June 26): 30% of prize pool • Quarter-finals (ends ~July 5): 20% of prize pool • Semi-finals (ends ~July 15): 20% of prize pool • Final (ends July 19): 30% of prize pool Each stage winner is determined by points earned in that stage only, not cumulative points. Prizes are distributed via Interac e-Transfer for Canadian winners, or PayPal for international winners, within 48 hours of each stage closing. International winners must provide a valid PayPal email address upon winning.
Refunds
Entry fees are non-refundable once your league activates (minimum members reached before the first match). If the minimum is not reached before the first match kicks off, your full entry fee is returned via e-transfer within 48 hours.
Ties
If two or more players finish a stage with equal points (after tiebreakers), the stage prize is split equally among all tied winners.
Small Leagues
In leagues with fewer than 5 paid members, stage prize payouts may be less than the individual entry fee if the stage prize is split between tied winners. The 15% platform fee is applied once to the total prize pool at the time of collection, not per payout. We recommend a minimum of 5 members for the best prize pool experience.
Predictions
Predictions lock at kickoff. No late entries or edits are permitted. This is enforced automatically.
Eligibility
MatchCast prediction leagues are open to participants 18 years and older. By joining you confirm you are eligible to participate in skill-based prediction contests in your jurisdiction.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Alberta, Canada.
